Federal agencies’ stricter enforcement of timely closeout required UCLA to evaluate the current fund closeout procedure. The campus workgroup was established to identify areas for improvement and has developed a more robust federal fund closeout procedure that will support UCLA’s compliance and full recovery of research project costs. The webinar will introduce the new federal fund closeout procedure highlighting important changes to the current closeout procedure. For more detailed background, please refer to the presentations titled “The New Procedure for Financial Closeout of Sponsored Projects” on the RAF website (October, November, and December 2024).
