Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce that ECC Project Statement Certification Status reports are now accessible in the ORA Online Resource Center.  These reports deliver comprehensive metrics and advanced search capabilities for Project Statements generated in the new Employee Compensation Compliance (ECC) system.  In ECC, Project Statements replace Effort Reporting as the methodology for payroll compliance with federal requirements.  They serve as documentation certifying that salary charged or cost shared is reasonable in relation to the effort expended on the project.  These reports enable users to more effectively monitor and track Project Statement activity and certification progress.

You can access the reports under the Compliance tab by selecting the ECC Project Statement Certification Status link.

The reports are organized into four tabs:

  • Home: High‑level metrics by reporting period (e.g., open, certified, total, and certification percentage).
  • Search: Flexible search options across multiple criteria, offering detailed information on ECC Project Statements.
  • Charts: Visuals of ECC Project Statements by either Organizational Hierarchy or Period, with additional optional filters.
  • About: Reference information including status definitions, data sources, and system availability.

Data is updated nightly, and we encourage Department Administrators to use these reports to actively monitor Project Statement activity and progress, helping ensure timely certification.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the ECC Helpdesk.

Sincerely,

Katie Cadle
